Selections for 2023

Teams are selected in the following divisions:

• Under 15 Boys:
   Must be 15 years or under as at 31/12, the year of the trial. Born in 2008 or 2009. Students can not turn 16 in the year of the tournament.
  NSWCCC trials are held each year. Our trials are held in Wagga Wagga. These trials will be on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd May 2022 from 9am to 2.30pm.
• In 2023, there will be an extra step for 15 boys trialling for the AFL pathway. Boys in the Bathurst, Canberra/Goulburn, Parramatta and Wollongong Dioceses will need to register for a Southern trial. Those successful in their nomination will be notified and will attend a trial at Gunghalin, ACT on 1st March. Nominations close on Friday 17th February. Players will be responsible for making their own way to and from the ACT trial.

• Southern trial - Wednesday 1st March at Gunghalin, ACT. Players will be responsible for making their own way to and from the ACT trial.

• A squad will be selected at this trial to attend the NSWCCC Selection trial in Wagga Wagga on Monday 1st May and Tuesday 2nd May. Parramatta students will register using the link below.

• Under 15 Girls:

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships. They must be experienced competitors and must complete a detailed application form available from the Department of Education Website.

Individual students may enter the championships by completing nomination forms and submitting them to the convenor of the sport. Students must have a golf handicap and be a member of a Golf Club to participate.

On Wednesday 19th July 2023, the PDSSSC will be holding a Netball Gala Day at Penrith Netball Complex in 3 divisions:

Under 16 Girls

Students MUST turn 15 or 16 in the year of the tournament. They MUST be born in 2007 or 2008.
In 2023 the Under 16 Girls trials will be held on Thursday 4th May 2023 at Whalan Reserve, Whalan from 1.30pm - 3.00pm.
Nominations close on Thursday 31st March, 2023.
PDSSSC Registration Form

In 2023 a PDSSSC Under 16s Rugby League team will be selected to play Broken Bay Diocese on Thursday 27th July at Windsor Leagues Club, George and Rifle Range Rd, South Windsor. The games commences at 11.30am, with a short training session for the girls at 9.45am.

This team will be selected on Thursday 4th May at Whalan Reserve.

Girls NSWCCC Rugby League Trial - to be held at St Mary's on Thursday 17th August. Training will be at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence, Sydney Olympic Park. Teams from Northern Country, Southern Country and 2 Metropolitan team will trial at this event to select a NSWCCC Under 16 Girls team for 2023.

An NSWCCC Girls U/16 rugby league team will compete at the Australian School Girls Championships at Port Macquarie in September. (Dates TBC)

Under 18 Girls

Students MUST turn 17 or 18 in the year of the tournament. They MUST be born in 2005 or 2006.
In 2023 the Under 18 Girls trials will be a paper trial, with all players nominating on the PDSSSC Website using the link below.

Successful players will be notified through their schools

PDSSSC Teams Championships Selections

To enter you need 4 girls or 4 boys who attend your school to form a team to play a combination of singles and doubles matches.

Students from Year 7 to Year 11 are eligible to play at this event. (Year 12 students cannot participate in this event.)

This event will be held on Monday 8th May, 2023 at the Parramatta Tennis Centre, Barton St, Parramatta.
Entries close on Wednesday 5th April, 2023

The first matches will begin at 8.30am and the event will finish by around 2.30pm with registrations from 8am.

Players wishing to register for the teams event need to organise their team of 4 players with their Sports Coordinator.

Winning teams from Boys and Girls qualify for the NSWCCC Tennis Team Championships which are held each year in June.

In 2023, the event will be held on Monday 29th May.

There are 4 players in each team and they must come from the same school.

Congratulations to Our Lady of Mercy College - Girls and Bede Polding College - Boys who represented Parramatta Diocese at the 2019 NSWCCC Teams Tennis Championships.

In 2021, Marian Catholic College, Kenthurst represented PDSSSC in both the Boys and Girls at this NSWCCC event.

In 2022, Marian Catholic College, Kenthurst, St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood and Parramatta Marist High, Westmead represented PDSSSC in both the Boys and Girls at this NSWCCC event.

The winning team from the NSWCCC Teams Tennis event will represent NSWCCC at the Tennis Australia Teams event later in the year.

Tennis has avenues for individual and team events.

Individuals are selected in the following divisions:

• Opens Boys - Students can be in Year 7 to 12
• Opens Girls - Students can be in Year 7 to 12

8 boys and 8 girls will be selected to attend Pizzey Cup trials.

Players must have an Universal Tennis Ranking (UTR). This must be provided with entry.

A player needs to include their UTR ranking.

The top 32 players will be based on a combination of UTR rankings and previous representation at NSWCCC carnivals. The top 32 will be selected at the discretion of the Tennis Convenor.

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Triathlon Championships. These championships include the NSWCCC Triathlon Championships. There are 2 events contested:

• Junior – 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Intermediate – 600m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run
• Senior – 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Relays (teams of 3 students from the same school) - Friday 24th February, 2023

• Junior  - 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Inter/Senior – 400m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run

These events are contested in the following divisions:

• Juniors – 12, 13, 14 Years (Born in 2011, 2010 or 2009)
• Intermediates - 15 and 16 Years (Born in 2008 or 2007)
• Seniors - 17, 18, 19 Years (Born in 2006, 2005 or 2004)

The Championships are held over 2 days in February at the International Regatta Centre, Penrith.
In 2023, the NSW All Schools Triathlon will be held on Thursday 23rd February (Individual Events) and Friday 24th February (Team Events).
