Selections for 2026

Teams are selected in the following divisions:

• Under 14 Boys:
   Must be 14 years or under as at 31/12, the year of the trial. Born in 2012 or 2013. Students can not turn 15 in the year of the tournament.
  NSWCCC trials are held each year. Our trials are held in Wagga Wagga. These trials will be on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th May 2026 from 9am to 2.30pm.
• In 2026, there will be an extra step for 14 Years boys trialling for the AFL pathway. Boys in the Bathurst, Canberra/Goulburn, Parramatta and Wollongong Dioceses will need to register online (see link below) for a Southern trial. Those successful in their nomination will be notified and will attend a trial on Wednesday 25th February. Nominations close on Friday 13th February.

• Southern trial - Wednesday 25th February at a venue in the Wollongong area, to be confirmed. Players will be responsible for making their own way to and from this trial. Venue is Kully Bay, Northcliffe Drive, Port Kembla. This venue is to be confirmed.

• A squad will be selected at this trial to attend the NSWCCC Selection trial in Wagga Wagga on Monday 4th May and Tuesday 5th May. Parramatta students will register using the link below.

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships. They must be experienced competitors and must complete a detailed application form available from the Department of Education Website.

There are 5 events contested

• Slalom

• Freestyle

These events are contested in the following divisions

The 2026 NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships are to be held over 4 days in May at the Nymboida Canoe Centre, Nymboida River and Clarence River, Grafton from Saturday 16th- Tuesday 19th May.

Pathways

After selection in the PDSSSC Football team, the pathway for school football is as follows:

• NSWCCC Championships / Selections - Opens Boys and Opens Girls in 2026. Players cannot turn 19 in 2026.
  Students selected will represent the PDSSSC at the NSWCCC Selection Championships which are held over two days in May each year.
• All players are asked to complete the  NSWCCC Registration online, by following the attached links above in Register.
  The 2026 event will be held in Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood on Tuesday 26th - Wednesday 27th May.
  Players selected in the PDSSSC teams will be asked to attend training in the lead up to this event.
• See attached draw for NSWCCC Football Championships when available.

• NSW All Schools Championships / Selections
  16th – 17th June 2026 at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood. 

• School Sport Australia Championships - U/18 Boys and U/18 Girls

School Teams Events

Schools can also nominate to play in the NSWCCC Knockout tournaments run across the state. There are 4 divisions for Year 7-10 and Opens Girls as well as Year 7-10 and Open Boys. Teams need to participate in the PDSSSC section of this competition, with the winning teams progressing through to the main draw.

• In 2026, the PDSSSC will hold a Girls Open Football Gala Day on Friday 27th March at Jamison Park, Penrith.

Teams are asked to be at the ground by 8:10am with the first games commencing at 8:30am. Finals should be played by around 2:30pm.

• Congratulations to the boys from Patrician Brothers College, Blacktown and St Gregory's College, and the girls from Gilroy Catholic College and Emmaus Catholic College, who represented PDSSSC in the Quarter Finals of the state wide NSWCCC Knockout against the winners of the Wollongong Diocese at Glenwood.

Online registration for the Opens Boys and Opens Girls Gala Day is to be completed by Friday 6th March 2026.

• The winners of the Opens Divisions of the PDSSSC Football Knockout will represent PDSSSC in the Quarter Finals of the state wide NSWCCC Knockout against the winners of the Wollongong Diocese on Tuesday 28th July, 2026 at Wollongong - venue to be confirmed.

Students must have a golf handicap and be a member of a Golf Club to participate. Boys handicap to be 9 or less, Girls Handicap to be 32 or less. All players MUST have a current GolfLink number.

The NSWCCC Golf Tournament will be held at Tuncurry Golf Course, Tuncurry on Monday 27th April, 2026.

PDSSSC Netball Gala Day Years 7/8 and 9/10
On Friday 24th July 2026, the PDSSSC will be holding a Netball Gala Day at Penrith Netball Complex in 2 divisions:

1. Year 7/8
2. Year 9/10

Entries will close on Thursday 25th June 2026 for this event. 

PDSSSC Netball Gala Day Years 11/12

In 2026, The Senior Year 11-12 division of the PDSSSC Gala Day will be held at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centrte as part of the Opens selection day on Monday 9th March. 16 Years players in Year 10 may play in this Gala Day, only if they are elite players looking to be selected in the Opens Girls netball team for Parramatta Diocese at the NSWCCC Netball Championships.

Entries will close on Friday 20th February 2026 for this event.

NSWCCC Netball Championships - change of date
There is also a teams event that individual schools can enter. This is the NSWCCC Netball Championships which is to be held on Wednesday 19th August, 2026 at Penrith.

Students nominate to participate in the NSW Schoolgirls and NSW Schoolboys Head of the River Championships. They must be experienced competitors and must complete a detailed application form available from the NSW Rowing Association Office via the Rowing NSW Website. See below.

Students MUST turn 15 or 16 in the year of the tournament. In 2026, they MUST be born in 2010 or 2011.

PDSSSC Teams Championships Selections

To enter you need 4 girls or 4 boys who attend your school to form a team to play a combination of singles and doubles matches.

Students from Year 7 to Year 11 are eligible to play at this event. (Year 12 students cannot participate in this event.)

This event will be held on Tuesday 4th August, 2026 at the Parramatta Tennis Centre, Barton St, Parramatta.
Entries close on Thursday 2nd July, 2026

The first matches will begin at 8.30am and the event will finish by around 2.30pm with registrations from 8am.

Winning teams from Boys and Girls qualify for the NSWCCC Tennis Team Championships which are held each year in August.

There are 4 players in each team and they must come from the same school.

We have had some fantastic results in this event.

In 2023,  St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood, won the Boys Division of this State-wide event.

In 2024,  St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood, who won the Boys Division of this State-wide event, and St Dominic's College, Kingswood, who were runners-up in this event.

• Junior – 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Intermediate – 600m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run
• Senior – 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Relays (teams of 3 students from the same school) - Thursday 26th February, 2026

• Junior  - 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Inter/Senior – 400m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run

These events are contested in the following divisions:

• Juniors – 12, 13, 14 Years (Born in 2014, 2013 or 2012)
• Intermediates - 15 and 16 Years (Born in 2011 or 2010)

The Championships are held over 2 days in February at the International Regatta Centre, Penrith.

  There is currently NO School Sport Australia event for Water Polo.
