Selections for 2024

Teams are selected in the following divisions:

• Under 15 Boys:
   Must be 15 years or under as at 31/12, the year of the trial. Born in 2009 or 2010. Students can not turn 16 in the year of the tournament.
  NSWCCC trials are held each year. Our trials are held in Wagga Wagga. These trials will be on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th May 2024 from 9am to 2.30pm.
• In 2024, there will be an extra step for 15 boys trialling for the AFL pathway. Boys in the Bathurst, Canberra/Goulburn, Parramatta and Wollongong Dioceses will need to register online (see link below) for a Southern trial. Those successful in their nomination will be notified and will attend a trial on Thursday 29th February. Nominations close on Friday 16th February.

• Southern trial - Thursday 29th February at Hannaford Oval, 29 Broughton St, Wilton, 2571. Players will be responsible for making their own way to and from this trial. Please note - this is a change of venue for this event.

• A squad will be selected at this trial to attend the NSWCCC Selection trial in Wagga Wagga on Monday 6th May and Tuesday 7th May. Parramatta students will register using the link below.

• Under 15 Girls:

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships. They must be experienced competitors and must complete a detailed application form available from the Department of Education Website.

After selection in the PDSSSC Football team, the pathway for school football is as follows:

• NSWCCC Championships / Selections
  Students selected will represent the PDSSSC at the NSWCCC Selection Championships which are held over two days in May each year.
• All players are asked to complete the  NSWCCC Registration online, by following the attached links above in Register.
  The 2024 event will be held in Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood on Tuesday 28th - Wednesday 29th May.
  Players selected in the PDSSSC teams will be asked to attend training in the lead up to this event.
• See attached draw for NSWCCC Football Championships when available.

• Under 16 Boys - Please register online at the CCC website by Friday 12th April. Selection trials for those successful will be on Wednesday 15th May at Kirrawee

Teams need to participate in the PDSSSC section of this competition, with the winning teams progressing through to the main draw.

Entries close on Thursday 6th April 2024 for the Boys Year 7-10 and Girls Year 7-9 divisions.

• In 2024, the PDSSSC will hold a Girls Open Football Gala Day on Friday 5th April at Jamison Park, Penrith.

• Congratulations to the boys from Marian Catholic College and St John XXIII Catholic College, and the girls from Marian Catholic College, who represented PDSSSC in the Quarter Finals of the state wide NSWCCC Knockout against the winners of the Wollongong Diocese on Tuesday 30th July, 2024 at Glenwood.

Online registration for the Opens Boys and Opens Girls Gala Day is to be completed by Friday 1st March 2024.

Selections

Individual students may enter the championships by completing nomination forms and submitting them to the convenor of the sport. Students must have a golf handicap and be a member of a Golf Club to participate. Boys handicap to be 9 or less, Girls Handicap to be 32 or less. All players MUST have a current GolfLink number.

The NSWCCC Golf Tournament will be held at Belmont Golf Course, Marks Point, Lake Macquarie on Monday 11th March, 2024.

Registration for NSWCCC Rugby League

BOYS RUGBY LEAGUE - UNDER 15 YEARS 

All players MUST register on the PDSSSC Website in order to attend the trials.

There are 2 or 3 levels above this that you need to be progressed through along the pathway, depending on whether you are in the 15 or 18 years Boys

pathway:-

15 Years Boys - Parramatta Trial  - The boys selected to trial from the online registration process will trial on Wednesday March 27th at Federation Forest, Simpson Hill Rd, Mt Druitt. Successful players will receive notification through their school sports coordinator. - Trial to be confirmed.

15 Years Boys - Parramatta - First team - The first Parramatta team selected on March 21st will play at the NSWCCC selection trials at St Mary's on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May.

15 Years Boys - Parramatta - Second team - The second Parramatta team selected on March 21st March will play at the Metro selection trials at Morry Breen Oval, Kanwah on Wednesday 1st May May against Broken Bay Diocese. The Metro team selected on May 1st will play at the NSWCCC selection trials at St Mary's on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May.

A NSWCCC Boys U/15 rugby league team will compete at the Australian Secondary School Rugby League Championships at Port Macquarie from June 29th - 5th July.

In 2024, the 18 Years trial will be a paper trial, due to the heavy commitment of players in the Junior Representative pathway system.

18 Years Boys - Parramatta Diocese  - First Team - The first Parramatta team selected on March 21st will play at the NSWCCC selection trials at St Mary's on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th May.

A NSWCCC Boys U/18 rugby league team will compete at the Australian Secondary School Rugby League Championships at Coffs Harbour from July 6th - 12th July.

NSWCCC hold the CCC Cup in Rugby League each year for Open Boys teams. More Details TBC

Teams qualify through their own district knockouts which are held early each year. Teams need to register by a date to be advised on the CSWNSW Sport Website in the School Competition section.

GIRLS RUGBY LEAGUE - UNDER 16 YEARS

Students MUST turn 15 or 16 in the year of the tournament. In 2024, they MUST be born in 2008 or 2009.

PDSSSC Teams Championships Selections

To enter you need 4 girls or 4 boys who attend your school to form a team to play a combination of singles and doubles matches.

Students from Year 7 to Year 11 are eligible to play at this event. (Year 12 students cannot participate in this event.)

This event will be held on Monday 13th May, 2024 at the Parramatta Tennis Centre, Barton St, Parramatta.
Entries close on Wednesday 3rd April, 2024

The first matches will begin at 8.30am and the event will finish by around 2.30pm with registrations from 8am.

PDSSSC Boys/Girls Teams Championships 

To enter you need 3 girls or 3 boys in a particular age group (u/12 - u/18) who attend your school to form a team to play a combination of singles and doubles matches.

Each age group should have a singles player and a doubles teams. Singles players cannot play doubles in this event.

Students from Year 7 to Year 12 are eligible to play at this event.

This event will be held on Tuesday 2nd April, 2024 at the Parramatta Tennis Centre, Barton St, Parramatta.

The first matches will begin at 8.30am and the event will finish by around 2.30pm with registrations from 8am.

Players wishing to register for the teams event need to organise their team of 4 players with their Sports Coordinator.

Winning teams from Boys and Girls qualify for the NSWCCC Tennis Team Championships which are held each year in June.

In 2024, the event will be held on Monday 27th May in Bathurst.

There are 4 players in each team and they must come from the same school.

In 2019, Our Lady of Mercy College - Girls and Bede Polding College - Boys represented Parramatta Diocese at this NSWCCC event..

In 2021, Marian Catholic College, Kenthurst represented PDSSSC in both the Boys and Girls at this NSWCCC event.

In 2022, Marian Catholic College, Kenthurst, St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood and Parramatta Marist High, Westmead represented PDSSSC in both the Boys and Girls at this NSWCCC event.

In 2023, OLMC Parramatta, St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood and St Dominic's College, Kingswood represented PDSSSC in both the Boys and Girls at this NSWCCC event. Congratulations to St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood, who won the Boys Division of this State-wide event.

The winning team from the NSWCCC Teams Tennis event will represent NSWCCC at the Tennis Australia Teams event later in the year.

Tennis has avenues for individual and team events.

Individuals are selected in the following divisions:

• Opens Boys - Students can be in Year 7 to 12
• Opens Girls - Students can be in Year 7 to 12

A player needs to include their UTR ranking.

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Triathlon Championships. These championships include the NSWCCC Triathlon Championships. There are 2 events contested:

• Junior – 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Intermediate – 600m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run
• Senior – 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Relays (teams of 3 students from the same school) - Thursday 22nd February, 2024

• Junior  - 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Inter/Senior – 400m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run

These events are contested in the following divisions:

• Juniors – 12, 13, 14 Years (Born in 2012, 2011 or 2010)
• Intermediates - 15 and 16 Years (Born in 2009 or 2008)
• Seniors - 17, 18, 19 Years (Born in 2007, 2006 or 2005)

The Championships are held over 2 days in February at the International Regatta Centre, Penrith.
In 2024, the NSW All Schools Triathlon will be held on Wednesday 21st February (Individual Events) and Thursday 22nd February (Team Events).
